Newland partnered with Oakridge Homes to design functional floorplans at an affordable price based on the Tehaleh shopper. Before launching the new neighborhood surrounding Big Sky Park, Newland conducted in depth research of Tehaleh shoppers from Pierce and King County to understand what design features are important to them when shopping for their next home.
Those learnings helped the team focus on convenient features that would make a large impact in day-to-day living such as larger closets, extra space in the garage for storage or a work area, an out-of-the-way place for kids to drop their bags as well as take off your boots after a long day. The cooking enthusiast will appreciate the focus on the kitchen with large islands as a focal point for hosting as well as ample counter and storage space. There is also a plan featuring single-level living with the master bedroom on the main floor which is important for those looking at the next stage of their life or flexible as a guest suite for visitors. The homes were designed to maximize the square footage to appeal to a variety of buyers, whether it’s a growing family with young children or a snowbird who wants a low maintenance yard. Oakridge Homes situated their homes where many of them overlook the newest community amenity, Big Sky Park.
