The Post in Tehaleh holiday 2018

05 December . 2018

Tehaleh Gives Back and You Can, Too!

December is a wonderful time of year where we strive to think of others before ourselves. While many of us are enjoying presents, food and fun, it’s important to remember there are countless veterans, men, women and children who are unable to put food on the table, keep warm through the winter, or even find a safe place to sleep. In the spirit of giving, we’ve selected a few of our favorite charities that are each worthy of your attention this holiday season. With so many donation opportunities to choose from, it’s easy to gift a bit of hope to those who need it most.

The Giving Tree – Help make a child’s holiday a little brighter! Stop by The Post and grab a tag off the tree with what the child is hoping for. Return the wrapped present to The Post by the listed date and smile knowing you played Santa!

Toys for Tots – Take part in this popular tradition by donating a new, unwrapped toy for a child (age: newborn through 16). Look for the “Toys for Tots” box at The Post!

Operation Warm – The East Pierce Fire & Rescue fire fighters are teaming up with Operation Warm for the annual Coats for Kids Drive, providing hope and warm coats to local children who need them. Accepting cash donations at The Post or visit Operation Warm to find out how you can help!

Pierce County Homeless Shelter – Make someone’s life a little easier with a donation of books, personal hygiene products, clean pajamas, new toys, luggage, dish sets, pots and pans, journals or gift cards. You'll find that you're giving more than just a coat or a toy - you're giving hope to those who need it most.

Bonney Lake Food Bank – Residents can drop off non-perishable food, personal hygiene items, new socks or pet food to The Post.

The Family Renewal Shelter – Help a family in crisis by bringing a wrapped gift (with a description of what’s inside) or gift card (i.e. Target, Kmart, Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart) to The Post or grab a tag off The Giving Tree.
