Untapped fun: the South Sound Craft Crawl
With more than 40 craft breweries in the South Sound to choose from, where do you begin? The South Sound Craft Crawl is the tastiest way to explore these artisanal breweries (as well as 20 cideries) that span the trip from Tacoma to Olympia.
Visit and earn free beer.
With your South Sound Craft Crawl passport in hand, you can collect stamps at each location you visit. Collect 15 stamps, and you earn a free growler. Swing by any location that’s marked on the passport with a trophy to collect your reward. You can also pick up your growler at the Travel Tacoma + Pierce County Visitor Information Center Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. or Saturdays between 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Getting there is half the fun.
There are several ways to creatively and safely visit several breweries in a single afternoon:
Tacoma Link light rail is free and stops at seven breweries, all in the heart of downtown.
Lifestyle Shuttles & Tours offers affordable yet luxurious charter and excursion transportation.
Bikerobrew is a bicycle brewery and history tour offered two Saturdays a month.
Raise a toast with your favorite pint!
