Gratitude and Community Go Hand in Hand

It’s long been known that supportive social ties are critical to both psychological and physical health. Social networks are valuable resources for individuals by boosting long term happiness which, in turn, promotes physical health. As we approach the holidays at Tehaleh we’d like to take a moment and say "thanks" to our neighbors and the growing community we’re building together. While there are many reasons to be thankful, here are a few of our favorites!

Sheer Inspiration – At Tehaleh there is always someone doing something amazing and special memories are being created all the time. From resident artists hiding painted rocks along the trails to a spontaneous nature lesson from Bob “The Slug Man” about the “F.B.I” (a.k.a fungus, bacteria and invertebrates!), the community residents regularly surprise and delight one another.

Unique Opportunities –Happy people are always up to something interesting and when you’re living among them you’re often welcome to go along for the ride or, at the very least, their happiness is infectious! Whether it’s a spontaneous group activity like meeting up for coffee at the Post or a once in a lifetime experience like hiking to the top of Mt. Rainier, opportunities abound within our community.

Shared Lessons –Why spend the time making your own mistakes when you can reach out to the community and ask if anyone has had an experience that could be valuable to your situation? Neighbors helping neighbors!

Fun! Fun! Fun! –Perhaps the best part of living in Tehaleh is the myriad of activities available. Whether it’s an old-fashioned Harvest Day, kids filling the streets with laughter on Halloween or group walks along our scenic trails, there’s no shortage of activities to join at Tehaleh.

Are you interested in joining our friendly and caring community? Stop by our Visitor Headquarters, The Post, or make an appointment to speak with one of our Tehaleh Ambassadors. They are all community residents ready to answer any questions you may have!
