Tehaleh Rings in 2018 with New Home Trends

With the New Year, comes new home trends, outdoor living, and a fresh start for eager homebuyers discovering the latest model homes in Tehaleh, Washington’s best-selling community of new single-family homes.

“Our innovative homebuilders continue to lead the industry with their designs in Tehaleh,” said Scott Jones, senior vice president for Newland. “As we welcome the new year, we invite shoppers to come out and discover their dream home among our extensive selection of model homes and floor plans.”

Tours of the community’s 11 model homes are available this weekend, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The community’s impressive lineup of homebuilders includes Azure Northwest Homes, Brookstone Homes, HC Homes, Lennar, MainVue Homes, Noffke Homes, Oakridge Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, and the 55+ active-adult community, Trilogy® at Tehaleh®.

Plus, from now until March 4, 2018, visitors can enter for a chance to win one of four New Year-inspired prizes, including a fitness retreat getaway, home organization session, smart home accessory package, or help with moving costs when transitioning to a brand-new home in the community.

A leading home trend in 2018, outdoor rooms showcase the Northwest lifestyle and a desire to connect with nature throughout the seasons. Popular Tehaleh builder, MainVue Homes, include exclusive covered outdoor rooms in the Calisto, Astoria, and Marcello floor plans, which start in the high-$500,000s. The rooms feature three floor-to-ceiling window walls, effortlessly creating an ideal space for relaxation and entertaining year-round.

Builder Richmond American Homes recently rolled out the luxurious Hemingway model home that sits on an exquisite greenbelt lot. Optimizing outdoor living, this floor plan includes an optional sunroom and covered patio with picturesque views of the evergreen forests and Olympic mountain range. Starting in the mid-$400,000s, the home features an open floor plan with a large kitchen, and a sprawling great room in the basement, perfect for game day entertaining.

Local builder Noffke Homes prioritizes craftsmanship and originality, including oversized sliding French doors that open up to a large covered patio, bringing the outdoors in. The chef-inspired kitchen comes standard with quartz countertops and an Italian oven that can be color-matched to luxury race cars. With homes starting in the low-$500,000s, buyers have the option of adding a wine refrigerator, pantry with sliding barn door, pot-filler faucet over the stove, and more.

On February 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Azure Northwest Homes hosted a grand opening celebration for its Alki Crest model home, starting in the high-$300,000s. With a covered outdoor patio, cozy den, and intimate dining room, this floor plan allows buyers to enjoy life with ease while also having the option of comfortably entertaining guests. The first 150 visitors to arrive at the grand opening dined on Rain City Hot Dogs and played a round of mini golf.

As technology advances, homebuilders are incorporating high-tech tools into their home designs. Nationally-renowned builder, Lennar, is at the forefront of this trend. Their newest model home, opening on February 24, includes smart home technology as part of their “Everything’s Included” package – meaning all of the popular features and upgrades come standard.

Debuting in March, builder Brookstone Homes will also offer tech options for energy efficient buyers, including upgrades for rooftop solar panels and an electric car recharge station.

Visitors can learn more about Tehaleh at and enter-to-win the Fresh Start contest by visiting The Post, Tehaleh’s new-home information center, or any builder model sales office (to receive four additional contest entries!). While in the neighborhood, coffee lovers can fuel up with their drink of choice from Caffé D'arte. Outdoor adventurers can grab a trail map and explore the 20+ miles of trails and a collection of parks ranging from super sporty to ultra-serene.

Tehaleh is owned in a joint venture between two strong companies: North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer and Newland is the master developer of Tehaleh. Collectively, the NASH-Newland partnership owns or manages more than 30 communities across the country.
